Create Valuable Content for Your Target Audience

I started blogging years ago. But after a few months of writing about random stuff, I got frustrated because I didn’t get a lot of traffic to my blog. I ended up pulling the curtains down with that first blog.

People have been stressing on how important contents are for web traffic to blogs and sites. But contents need to be valuable for them to attract readers and get the most out of them. But what exactly makes a content valuable for your readers?

30_560_360_robots_dont_readTo be able to craft valuable contents that your readers would digest and come back for more, there are basic things one needs to consider. The whole idea is to think (and feel) how your target audience would. Simple? Perhaps.

Here are three things to consider when creating a content your readers will find valuable.

Who Are They?

I bet you don’t talk to your mom the way you talk to your girlfriend or boyfriend, right? So it is important for you to know to whom you are creating your contents for. Do your research if you must. Make sure you are talking to your readers the way they want to be talked to.

Hit The Mark

One’s junk could be one’s treasure. Not everyone will find your content valuable–at least not to the wrong audience. Once you know who your target audience is, understand what their pain points are and focus on them. Hit you audience with solutions and better options to address their concerns.

But it doesn’t have to be a problem. You can also capitalize on what your readers find interesting, amusing or annoying. Be cautious on the ‘annoying’ stuff though, it might backfire at you if you don’t do it properly.

Ask And Receive

If after all your efforts on researching and knowing what makes your contents attractive to your desired audience, still, you don’t get good content ideas—-Ask!

Your readers will not find it a turn off if you ask for their opinions. Actually, they would want that. It can give them the idea that they are valuable to you. It would show that you want to help provide them with what they want. So go ahead and don’t shy away from asking your audience.

I am pretty sure there are lots of other ideas out there that will help you create your next valuable content. These things I shared should start you going.

How about you? Do you have other tips that might help others with their content management concerns?
